Exercise “Indepedence day” (4/4)can be played with different ways, some of them are:
• play hand to hand and if you have two bass drums play foot to foot
•play right hand with left foot
• play left hand with right foot
play this exercise from 50 bpm to 180 bpm.
Stay focused and increase speed gradually.
This exercise is very good for a) warming muscles , b) build independence between hands and feet.
You can play on snare drum or move your hands around the set.
